CBD stands for Cannabidiol, which is a component that is extracted from the hemp of the cannabis plant. It is a component that occurs naturally and comes second in abundance after THC. THC is another naturally occurring compound in the cannabis plant and is the most abundant. Evans (2020) stated that it is the component that is known to cause ‘high’ when consumed. This is why under the Farm Bill through which CBD use was legalized, the CBD-infused products should not be more than 0.3 percent. Sainsbury et.al (2021) stated that the legalization of CBD came after a successful result of the health benefits of CBD oil, especially in pain-relieving in chronic diseases that prove difficult to be soothed by the respective medication while others use it for relaxation. Casey & Kraynak (2019) explained that CBD can be consumed in various ways like vaping, use of topicals on the skin, and sublingually, which involved putting CBD oil beneath the tongue, and it gets absorbed through the mucus membrane under the tongue. Iftikhar et al. (2021) recommended taking CBD pills or capsules and infuse into different foods like brownies, cakes, and cookies or dissolving them into a beverage. The method of consumption and how much you want to take in entirely depends on you. Be sure that the method you settle on suits your body and that your body can comfortably take in a certain amount. If it is your first time using or incorporating CBD into your baking or are contemplating doing so, consults widely with your doctor or other people who have used the CBD before. Researching widely also will help you to make a better decision. Most people who want to feel the effects of CBD for a longer time and who don’t want to feel the taste of it, infuse it into brownies.
